If this is a CV, then is it also a mistake to have the sections written as paragraphs? I was always told that it is best to have a short and concise list to give a general overview of your qualifications, and that other stuff should be saved for the letter/statement of purpose. What do you guys think?

I just wanted to point out that the department of psychology does not have a minor option, and therefore, author is either full of it or just plain stupid.

If swimming consumes all of his or her energy, then how are they going to do anything else... including getting out of the pool?

I wouldn't hire him! He spends "all of [his] energy every day becoming a better athlete." It doesn't sound as if he has much time for work. "There is no time to take off or there is no time for anything else."

Great. Yes, I'll hire you, even though you don't have time to do anything but swim and write bad cover letters in which you mention swimming about ten times.
