No Politics = No War

An anonymous philosophy grad student who, to quote, "[takes] a stand against the abysmal quality of papers that students try to pass off to educators these days" puts MSU on the Fishbowl map with this paper, submitted with his/her comments shown in red.

If you've got friends at MSU, now's the time to bust out the facebook shares.

edit: Submitter adds: "Although I have TA'd that class before,
this was not one of my students."

I think Author forgot another reason for wars: Land.

Sure, it's a less popular reason to war it up these days. But look at Israel: politics ties in with the land usage.

I loved everything about this.

I loved that reference to The Simpsons.

I loved that the author actually said, "Due to deductive reasoning I have concluded..." (and also the comment: "QED, bitch!")

By the way, I wonder what the author's thoughts are about tribal warfare.

*sigh*... i'm sure he/she did a fine job mocking this paper, but i just can't connect with someone else's comments. this is because i'm a total ahfb snob. it's weird to see someone kinda try to attempt your style because he/she isn't you... but i know i know, you already gave the disclaimer about less posts because you're busy...

They...can't honestly believe that...right? Right!?!?

*Sees someone on MSU campus standing on their little soapbox preaching to end all governments, everywhere. Passer-bys pass faster.*

Don't we need politics to stop war? Diplomacy, maybe? Is diplomacy not politics?

Slavery caused the Civil War, dammit! Oh, and economic factors too. [gauges out eyes]

By this logic, we can blame the existence of disease on the health care system.

Even better, I'm about 95% sure I know who submitted this. If there was a quote from the Monty Python philosopher's sketch in the commentary, I'd be 99% sure.

@ KO

I know what you mean, like a "stay true to your school" feeling.
Still, I was entertained.
