Graduation Speech (advance copy)
I would think that this has to be the student speaker's graduation speech. While Bill Clinton is the main speaker, every year a student gets up and gives a speech as, like, the representative for the students. It's possible, however, that this is only an application for that position. Still, even if this is it, this speech beats two years ago where the speaker told us all the great things that he was going to do. Oh, and last year's where one of her memories was something about waking up after drinking too much. Guess we'll find out if this is the actual speech or not during commencement.

This has got to be an application. An application that will utterly fail.
Ugh.
An application? Where the writing prompt is, "Pretend like your writing a graduation speech"...?
Is it grief-o'clock yet?
aww...
graduation speeches make me sad...
and now i feel like crying, for no reason at all.
i'm not even graduating...
... and i'm still a freshman.
Analayzer?
i'd rather hear this than billy clinton.
I hesitate to poke fun at recently deceased Michiganianites, but while we're on the subjects of Gerald Ford and public speaking, there's a great quote that I'm sure readers of this blog will enjoy, given that we get so much amusement out of clunky and inelegant composition.
"I am the first to admit that I am no great orator or no person that got where I have gotten by any William Jennings Bryan technique." -- President Gerald Ford, 1976
hey anon, not an application with a graduation speech prompt. An actual application to be the student graduation speaker. They make you apply (thank god, hopefully this crap will get weeded out!).
I hate it when people talk about writing their speech during their speech! It's so lazy.
