Ha, yeah, networking because your girlfriend is in a show... but, it would be fun to spend a month in NYC. If that is just his excuse to get away and have some fun for a month, that's not a bad idea. I would want to go too, if I were him. And since it's just a restaurant, he could always find a new job if
I think that it was a bad idea for him to type his employer a letter rather than just talk to them face to face. Giving your notice through a letter is rather rude and unprofessional, unless you just have no other options.
@canadian Sorry about that. Yeah, I think I had the thickness up too high (I did this particular entry in Photoshop)
@no one in particular I just noticed that Author writes "Thanks very much for these past few weeks," which suggests to me that Author is even more screwed. He/she gets the job, gets training, works for a few weeks, and then quits. I now doubt even more that you're gonna have a job waiting for you, Author.
I always chose hanging on the coat tails of my significant other as a way to improve my lot in life. I could work hard to succeed but my girlfriend is in Les Mis!
@anonymous 3:43 and anonymous 1:07 Mostly the orientation kids just leave behind their class schedules. So far they haven't been bad enough to warrant a "what they heck is he/she thinking" post.
Content is pretty sparse in the summer and I'm not able to get over to the Fishbowl with the same regularity I used to. Mostly I've been operating off stuff that I got in the fall.
It's worth nothing that, come fall, I'm going to have a new set of people making grabs in the name of Fishbowl. If you wanna help here in Ann Arbor or on your college campus, email me.
OH My GOD! My friend Garen wrote that about his girlfriend Cortney who is indeed in LES MIZ! That's way to hysterical. I just peed my pants. amazing cartoon btw. akb

What's with the sloppier writing AFHB? Thicker pen? In a hurry?
Just seems to be messier then normal.

@ahfb
I'm surprised you didn't pick up on that before. I noticed that too and figured he was really screwed. I wonder what job he could have had...
I think LES MISERABLES was just so distracting that I couldn't see anything else

^also, that being said, I'm gonna make numerous Fishbowl grabs over the course of this week. Here's hoping for horrible papers.
AHFB, your rendering of the boyfriend gleefully yelling "LES MISERABLES!!!" was hilarious.
